140 FT OF NEW BULKHEAD: We have a new look across the marina waterfront this summer.
After we finished hauling boats last fall we began a series of shore front renovation projects including adding 140 ft of new bulkhead. For safety and long term storm protection we installed 140 feet of new steel bulkhead shoring up the seawall including installation of dead-men and tie back support. New rebar reinforced, cement pads improve usage of this area.
Now that the warm weather is here we will enhance this area with stones and plantings. |

NEW RACK BOAT LAUNCH RAMP
|
New rack ramp for the forklift. We built a new rack ramp for the forklift shifting our rack boat operations to the North side of the restaurant. The new ramp will increase the reach of the lift by 3' and will bring the machine virtually to the water's edge on all tides. We anticipate that this will improve the traffic flow on land and by sea. It will speed up rack haul and launch operations with a shorter distance between racks and the launch ramp as well as a shorter distance between the rack launch pad and the water. THE RAMP IS FOR BPM RACK LIFT ONLY, ANY OTHER USE IS DANGEROUS AND PROHIBITED.
Accommodation Dock Relocation. The docks directly beside the rack ramp will be used as a new accommodation dock for our rack customers.

A DOCK CONNECTION ADDS TWO NEW SLIPS
|
On the South side of the restaurant, in the space vacated by the old rack service, we are installing two new slips and connecting A dock to the dock office access ramp.
A new dock gate and combo will add an extra level of security and improve access for our service team to the docks. Boats in for service will now dock on the South side of the restaurant.

DOCK OFFICE NEWS
|
|
Chris Smith, our Dockmaster, welcomes back his crew; Chris, Matt, Brian and Larkin, and a new member, David.
Our rack service moved over the winter to the opposite side of the restaurant with the goal being quicker, easier access for you and us. After launching your boat we will tie it up to the new accommodation docks adjacent to the new ramp. Space is limited so as usual plan to pick up your boat within the hour.
For our new rack customers come to the dock office for a quick tour of the facilities.
Lisa is busy preparing for this year's annual picnic. Her latest theme idea.....remains a secret, but let's all call her Julie.
Again this year we will be offering free wi fi access to our slip customers and using it just got easier. We know it's hard to remember user id's and passwords for your wifi and let's face it you don't always use the same computer. Our slip customers will receive an "access code" which allows you to register and choose a temporary password. Overnight guests can pick up a wifi visitor pass.
By May 1st Beacon will provide improved call center support to include reduced wait time.
